History of the Troop 58 Scholarship Fund
The Saunders family made a donation to the troop to be used as seed money for a scholarship fund, which was set up in January of 2013. The troop hopes to maintain and grow the funds in this account through donations by families, community partners and charitable organizations so that more scouts can benefit in the years to come.
The purpose of this scholarship is to acknowledge and reward outstanding Troop 58 Eagle Scouts who:
- Are graduating high school seniors.
- Have demonstrated outstanding character and leadership during their years in the troop.
- Have been engaged in various community and/or church based programs and activities.
- Are planning to attend college/other continuing education after high school graduation.
